Hi Everybody! Last time I was saying that «speaking health, it can only get worse». And it did... On Tuesday, November 22nd, by 8:45 a.m., I was ending my hourly walk outside a football stadium near home. I tumbled and went straight with my head against the metal protection of the outside platform... Result: Blood everywhere, run to the street, had a passing car taking me to the nearby hospital and had an eight or nine centimetre long wound sutured with more than ten stitches (the surgeon didn’t want to tell me how many; just mentioned «many»)... Fortunately, I didn’t fracture the skull and didn’t lose consciousness... What a fright... But you can’t imagine how happy I am to be here posting and commenting... ;)
Now, let’s get back to live and see the fabulous Scandola Natural reserve!! Enjoy and have a great week!!
Trotter you poor thing! That must have been a scary experience. Thank goodness you didn't break anything.
The way those rocks reach up perpendicular from the sea is amazing. It must have been fun winding through them and the holes.
Oh, poor you! Luckily you are back here! Take care!!
Take good care and hope you are getting better soon. Lovely rock formation and I spotted a mountain goat in one of the photo. Have a nice weekend.
Gil, I hope you are doing better now. Do take good care of yourself and get well soon.
About this post - I'm amazed. I haven't ever seen the likes of this anywhere else! Its quite a something to know that places such as these exist, you know!

Wishing you all the best
You travel to all these rugged places in the world and don't get hurt. I guess it is good you "chose" your hometown in which to fall and bleed.
Oi, thank God you were able to get to the street and get help and that you are now on the mend.
These pictures are amazing. I especially love the eagle nest and the mountain goat.
And the menhirs and dolmens in a previous post--so impressive.
Be well, take care, dear Gil.
Oh my Goodness I always fear falling at the stadium I fell down my hill in the back yard and broke my wrist and its taking a while to heal. and the bones didn't set right but it seems to be ok the way it is so we will see. Hope you are feeling better now.
Nice shots
No wonder they put this area a world Heritage List - fabulous!
I hope you are doing better by this time :-)

Hi Folks! Sorry for the delay! Hope you had a great holiday season and that you’re prepared to face 2012 in good shape. With the entire crisis around us, it will be needed a great deal of strength and luck... ;)

Too scary...
Susu.
Back to business, as usual...
Alice SG,
Mountain goats are found in weird places... ;)
Rakesh,

Going better, thanks...
Gattina,
Incredible rocks...
Peter,
I’m afraid 2012 wouldn’t be any better... And the Merkely tandem won’t help...
Cloudia,
Too clumsy... Now I’m walking at least four metres away each side from any obstacle... ;)
Ingrid,
Thanks!
Paul,
Those waters are fabulous; but sometimes the Italian captains get passengers too close to them...
Part Two:
Magic,
Thanks!
Yvonne,
Strange things happen...
Ram,
Sardinia is not visible on this post... And Napoleon was born in Corsica, but was not in jail there... The islands where he was in prison and exiled were the Isle of Elba and St. Helena...
Lakshmi,
One day I’ll see Petra, Jordan...
Pietro,
Thanks. Getting better...
Dina,
Welcome here! It’s a miracle how the disaster evolved...
Lady,
We definitely are not young any more... ;)
Rune,
It’s an incredible place!!
Alicia,
Obrigado! Foi uma experiência muito assustadora. Ainda hoje quando me lembro fico admirado como, no fim, tudo se passou aparentemente sem maior dano do que uma cicatriz que está a desaparecer (a parte não tapada pelo cabelo… ;))
Daniel,
Merci!
Part Three:
Blogitse,
Scary... but over!!
Dsole,
I know that accidents happen all the time... but there have been too many for Real against Barça lately... ;))
